Behringer’s RD-6 now shipping in 10 colours
Behringer’s RD-6 is the tech copier, sorry company’s answer to the Roland TR-606.
You may still be wondering how Behringer’s RD-6 and tons of other direct clones of famous synths and instruments all see the light of day without the originators of said instruments making too much of a fuss.
They even announced their own DAW coming soon and we can’t help wondering who they’ll be copying – probably Ableton J
But back to Behringer’s RD-6 which is now being shipped and instead of a single colour derivative like the original Roland TR-606 they’ve gone for not 1 or 2 colours but 10 variations.
Behringer’s RD-6 – the lowdown
The RD-6 is fully analogue.
It has eight classic drum sounds inspired by the TR-606.
Only the clap, which has been taken from the BOSS DR-110 drum machine.
The 16-step sequencer can switch between 32 separate patterns, with the ability to link them up to 250 bars worth of sequences.
Behringer’s RD-6 has built-in MIDI I/O, USB, Mix Out and 3.5mm outputs for each individual voice.
