Uli Behringer slaps back at the “haters” in a bizarre statement
In an interesting turn of events, Uli Behringer has turned to social media to call out the “haters”.
Two years ago Uli Behringer filed an unsuccessful defamation lawsuit against several synth manufacturers and enthusiasts after voicing their opinions in an online forum.
The case was thrown out of the Superior Court of California, with the judge ruling that the lawsuit was intended to censor, intimidate, and silence critics by burdening them with the cost of a legal defence.
In a recent statement, Uli said “In our Vision, we only have two obligations – to relentlessly deliver what customers desire and to observe the law. We will always respect that people may have different opinions about what we should and shouldn’t do, however that’s not an area we will ever engage in.” After accusing every single magazine, forum and thread for criticizing and attacking him.
“There is not one magazine, forum or thread where we don’t get criticized or even attacked,” said Uli. “We understand that not everyone likes us or me and that’s perfectly fine.”
The bottom line…
“We also understand that we’re controversial and we’re perfectly fine with it as we continue to relentlessly push the envelope, while also challenging our competitors to deliver better quality and lower prices.”
It’s important to understand that first and foremost Uli Behringer is a businessman, he alludes to a lot of these open-source developers as being money-hungry, while almost every one’s true intention is outside of the business world.
They’re passionate about music and the instruments used to create them – this is a world where the designers and manufacturers don’t often see each other as competition.
Here’s my opinion, there’s space in the market for affordable clones, but without the designers who are actually pushing the envelope – we will always be stuck in the 80s. Wait a second…
