Stay True South Africa Part 2-– Live from the Boiler Room
Stay True South Africa Part 2 is the second in the Stay True South Africa series which celebrates and explores some of the world’s most interesting and vibrant music scenes.
The first Stay True South Africa event took place on 5th March 2015, just over a year ago in fact, and had Boiler Room in South Africa for a one night only party in Joburg.
DJs such as Black Motion, Black Coffee, Shimza, and Culoe de Song played, including new wave rap electro artist Okmalumkoolkat.

The first Stay True South Africa event included a documentary released in April last year and was shot on location in Joburg. The film gave the world a glimpse of the local house music scene. You can watch it at the end of this article.
Further exploring South Africa’s original place in international dance music is Stay True South Africa part 2.
This will happen in Cape Town on the 24th of March 2016 and will feature artists such as Henrik Schwarz, Fred P, Move D, Jazzuelle, Kid Fonque B2B Jullian Gomes, and DJ Fosta.
Henrik Schwarz will headline Stay True South Africa Part 2.The German sound designer and composer is a house veteran. He will play an eclectic live set that will showcase his wide ranging production style which has often included influences from Africa.
Fred P is of New York City’s top tier and he works under his Fred P alias as well as Black Jazz Consortium. He will be bringing a deep and dreamy styled set.
Move D is also from Germany and is one the global house scene’s most respected artists. His style is a star gazing one with a deep love of sound scapes.
Jazzuelle is a home grown talent with a true love of original and inventive house music. He has played at Sonar and Glastonbury and will bring together his own sense of house combined with international influences.

Kid Fonque and Jullian Gomes will be playing back to back sets. You can look forward to hearing some of the finest local house music here.
DJ Fosta runs local label 021 which acts as a musical home for artists in the Langa township, Cape Town. This will be his Boiler Room debut. Fosta is a local legend in Cape Town and responsible for helping to develop many of the young producers in Langa. He is also an ambassador for Bridges for Music and NPO dedicated to empowering disadvantaged communities through dance music.
Fosta is an excellent addition to Stay True South Africa Part 2.
