Nigerian reggae artist Burna Boy in the studio with Skrillex
Burna Boy is lighting things up in the studio!
If you haven’t heard of Burna yet, things are bound to change as he’s forming ties with some of the biggest names in music.
Earlier this year he dropped his highly successful album Outside and was also the only feature on Fall Out Boy’s new album, which got to #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
African artists in the music industry are taking the world by storm. From Gqom becoming a global dance music style to the Gwara Gwara dance fever hitting the USA; residencies in Ibiza and African artists becoming part of the FIFA World Cup anthem– The African continent is taking on the global stage.
Burna is the latest African artist to enter the global arena- and it’s explosive.
Burna da bass!
The afro-fusion star is currently working with one of the most acclaimed producers in the music industry-Skrillex.
Besides being one of the biggest names in electronic music, Skrillex has also become one of the most sought-after producers in the studio, working with industry giants like Justin Bieber (who’s album won the Grammy for ‘Album of the Year’), Diplo and Incubus.
Sometimes all that talented artists need for that extra push into international stardom is that production quality from someone who is a hit-making machine, and of course their name on your work.
Burna has also worked with Timbaland, another producer who needs no introduction.
Burna Boy is aggressive in his intention, and the results are bound to be LIT.
