Mabala Noise announce new management and artists
Where there is smoke there is usually fire and recently Mabala Noise have been in the firing line for various reasons; accused of buying votes for award shows, mismanagement and let’s not forget Riky Rick’s online rant in March which also saw a swift reply from the label.
A few weeks back DJ Bongz also announced his departure from the label and predictably the label played down his involvement and his departure.
So it comes as no surprise that they have dispatched this press release to appease followers and to get the label back on track.
We make no judgement. There are always 2 sides to a story…
Here’s theirs…
PRESS RELEASE
Mabala Noise restructures label with new management and artists
Johannesburg, Thursday, 13 July 2017 – Entertainment power house, Mabala Noise, has taken the music industry by storm since its inception two years ago. Known for their boldness and unwavering passion for supporting local talent; Mabala Noise is looking to make a greater impact in the music industry, not only in South Africa but globally, and have restructured their label accordingly.
The new Mabala Noise label structure will see a dynamic young management team take on the leadership and “bigger picture” thinking artists remaining.
Internally, Mabala Noise has brought to the forefront 28 year old Sikhulile Nzuza, fondly known as Squicks, who will take on a new role as Label Manager. “Nzuza’s drive and work ethic has positioned him as one of the most important young players in the South African music industry. I am highly confident that he will own this role and execute the global vision I have for Mabala Noise,” expresses Reggie Nkabinde, Mabala Noise founder and owner.
Nzuza will be supported in management by: Lindsey Arends, COO; Flabba Rimosco, Director Marketing and Events; and Sina Kololo, Head of Artist Management; who will each play a role in elevating the Mabala Noise brand to its full potential.
With immediate effect, Mabala Noise has released and given clearances to a number of artists, and signed a few interesting bunch of fresh, young unearthed talents.
The label has also let go with immediate effect Mhlo Gumede who was the Company’s Media Liaison Officer. Due to unforeseen circumstances, it is alleged that Gumede has been extorting monies from up and coming musicians with the promise to give them recording deals. He has also been embezzling money from the company, thus the company has pursued criminal charges against Gumede.
“It’s never an easy decision to part ways with people who were previously an integral part of your team or ecosystem. The decisions I make at Mabala Noise are always well thought through and are never emotional. I will maintain the personal relationships I have with former colleagues and artists, and I wish all of them the best in their future endeavours,” further expresses Reggie Nkabinde.
