Video: Mobi Dixon robbed, loses material from upcoming album
Mobi Dixon was robbed while driving in his car, luckily no one was injured.
After working on his upcoming album for ages, the City Rains hitmaker has to redo “most of it” after his hard drive was stolen out of his car during a smash and grab robbery.
Dixon uploaded a video of his damaged car on social media, with a caption that reads:
“Got robbed on Samrand off ramp! Thank God nobody was hurt but unfortunately amongst other valuables my hard drive with data files of my upcoming album was stolen 😭 I am still trying to make peace with losing most of the new album and find inspiration to work on new material”
Rise like a phoenix
Dixon took time off from writing music and performing following the tragic death of collaborator and friend, Nichume Siwundla, last year.
Now, Dixon has to dig deep and find that inspiration to deliver the album he has promised fans.
Jumping back on the proverbial horse, Dixon already has a song in the bag- a collaboration with Phelo Bala.
His fans are backing him all the way, commenting positive affirmations like:
“That’s the spirit dear 😉 #hustle, passion, dedication…. for the love of music 🎶🎶”
“✊✊✊✊✊✊ never let migulukudu win, they can’t keep a gud man down.”
“Happy for you grootman keep flying ta yam all the best.”
If Mobi Dixon continues to hustle like he is now, this upcoming album might just be better than ever.
