We all waited with baited breath to see whether Tomorrowland 2020, their virtual festival called Tomorrowland Around The World, would provide amidst a tsunami of very average virtual steam festivals in the heart of the global lockdown.
The event had over 1 million viewers in the end, although to add some perspective Boris Brejcha managed 2,1 million streams on a simple Facebook Live stream using his Smartphone with an average backdrop of a park behind him.
Nonetheless, as virtual events go, Tomorrowland 2020 was said to be a resounding success and certainly set the bar in terms of technology and concept.
The mini-documentary, Never Stop The Music – The Creation of Tomorrowland Around The World – shows of the incredible technology they used for this game-changing digital event.
It’s only 18 minutes long but certainly a watch and features a handful of the artists that performed, namely, Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Kölsch, Amelie Lens, Tiësto and a few others.
