SAMA22 Goodie Bag – what’s in it?
It’s the South African Music Awards this weekend in Durban and it should be an upbeat affair considering the recent announcement that all SABC radio stations will play 90% local music. As tradition goes all presenters get a gift bag and the SAMA22 goodie bag looks really legit this year.
Naturally everything is sponsored by eager brands wanting some cool exposure so the mix of items in the SAMA22 goodie bag is understandably a mix of lifestyle items, big and small.
Each SAMA22 goodie bag has a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses. Nice. Ray-Ban has always been a brand celebs like.
Wearable apparel in the SAMA22 goodie bag include a C-Squared branded tie, bow tie and handkerchief, Millé sports gear and some rad Converse footwear too as well as Stance Socks for the ladies or any of the guys who wish to dress in drag…
There are a number of food and beverage items; Vita Coco natural coconut water, Häagen-Dazs ice cream, Steers burgers and Album of the Year sponsor Nescafé coffee. It’s a good thing they’ve added some food. We remember seeing Loyiso standing in the queue at Nandos in Sun City after the event that night – poor guy was hungry after presenting at the SAMAs. They need to keep their celebs nourished!
Booze includes Chivas Regal whiskey, premium wine from Spier Wine Estate and more wine from wine and spirit merchants Norman Goodfellows.
There’s always a headphone brand and this year’s SAMA22 goodie bag is no different; Rocka have included their selfie stick which should be loved by the celebs.
Health and body treatment goodies are a sure thing and for this year celeb presenters will get quite a bountiful contribution from brands such as; Body 20 Studio fitness program vouchers, Best Breast for lifting those boobs gal!, and various other care products from Beauty Factory (luxury bath and body soaps), Beauty Fix (skincare products), Black Opal (cosmetics, Mizani (haircare and styling), and Candi & Co (hair and beauty salon vouchers).
Feeling a bit flabby and saggy? The fitness programmes offered by Body 20 Studio deliver a stronger, fitter you in only 20 minutes per week. Plus, an unusual addition to the goodie bags is a nifty little handbag essential from Best Breast – instant adhesive breast lifts that mean you can kiss your bra goodbye!
Celebs need the ultimate in pampering and grooming products to help them rock all those red carpets, and the bags will be bulging with products and vouchers from the Beauty Factory (luxurious bath and body ranges at an affordable price), Beauty Fix (a recently launched South African skincare brand that the nation’s beauty editors are already raving about), Black Opal (cosmetics and skincare products for men and women of colour), Mizani (hair care and styling products for natural and relaxed hair) and Candi & Co (a hair and beauty salon). Lip-Ice
Malia Nail Care, Smile Phela, SOHO and Swiitch also have products in the SAMA22 goodie bag.
The 22nd annual South African Music awards take place this Saturday 4 June 2016 at the Durban ICC.
You can get tickets at Computicket for R 350 or just kick back and watch it on SABC1.
