Quarantine Online Party brings much needed relief during self-isolation
The Quarantine Online Party has enabled viewers to enjoy online music sets from Shimza, Black Motion, DJ Black Coffee and more.
The term ‘house party’ has new meaning in this time of isolation.
While as many people as possible are doing the good work by staying at home, it doesn’t mean that you have to count your eyelashes.
Besides working online (if you can) or binging Netflix, why not enjoy FREE concerts from your favourite SA artists like Shimza, Black Motion, Black Coffee and more. Besides, they’re also stuck at home.
In a bid to keep the arts alive, Shimza created the Quarantine Online Party which was broadcast on Facebook from 18:00 on Saturday.
Fans were treated to sets by DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, DJ Zinhle, Black Motion, DJ PH and Shimza himself.
While Sho Madjozi pointed out that “the DJs and their friends were touching the same equipment and grooving in the same house” Shimza assured her that precautions were made and that they’ll “do better next time.”
I was so impressed by the #QuarantineOnlineParty kanti the DJs and their friends were all touching the same equipment and grooving in one house 🤦🏽♀️ pic.twitter.com/J566SyLta6

Black Coffee for FREE
The Mzansi massive was also treated to a FREE online Black Coffee set over the weekend (let me remind you, those usually don’t come cheap).
The “Drive” producer said he wanted to show the world that “music unites”.
“Tomorrow it’s just us and the music. I’m doing an intimate live stream from home to keep spirits high at this incredibly tough time for the world… music unites.”
Keep an eye on your favourite artists’ pages, many of them have/are going to post online music sets for your (and their) enjoyment, the Quarantine Online Party is just the start.
