A DJ Black Coffee wedding set costs R1million
A DJ Black Coffee wedding set costs R1million, are you ready to book the global superstar?
Luckily for them, DJ Black Coffee played a surprise set at Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale’s wedding.
Look, Black Coffee is at the top of his game.
As one of the most sought-after acts, it’s no surprise that he’s asking for the top dollar in set fees, even for (especially for) weddings.
You want your special day to be perfect? How much are you willing to pay?
There’s no doubt that a DJ Black Coffee wedding set will be the perfect touch to your perfect day, only thing is it will set you back R1 million.
This exorbitant set fee was revealed by television presenter and radio host Somizi Mhlongo, who inquired about booking Black Coffee for his wedding to Mohale Motaung.
He revealed how much they couldn’t afford it.
A happy ending
Somizi and Mohale’s wedding, dubbed the #SomhaleUnion, will air next month in a four-part special on Showmax.
Guests dressed up in their finest white attire to celebrate the union, and were entertained by Manila von Teez, Cassper Nyovest, Shimza and DJ Zinhle.
And then something magical happened (that would never happen to us normal folk).
Black Coffee came to the wedding and treated guests to a surprise set, moving Somizi to tears.
“My dreams came true last night. What a pleasant surprise. This man was supposed to be performing overseas and he decided to surprise me at the end of the evening and played at our wedding. I cried like a baby with excitement. Black Coffee, I’ll forever cherish this moment,” Somizi shared on social media.

DJ Black Coffee recently explained why he isn’t taking many gigs in SA- and it’s not because he’s too expensive.
Anyway, we’re pretty sure this will not be the last DJ Black Coffee wedding set to take place. Someone with the cash to splash will do it!
