The Kiffness release brand new single “YOU SAY YOU LOVE ME”
The Kiffness have a hot new little single for all their fans titled ‘You Say You Love Me’. If you have been waiting for these guys to return with some more feel good music, then here you go.
The new Kiffness track features the vocals of Tawanna Shaunte from the Mississippi Soul and Jazz scene in the United States.
In the time since their last release the Kiffness have remained relevant on social media by posting videos that have gone viral. They now refer to themselves as internet heroes; they talk about all things pressing such as politic, Pokemon Go and their favourite targets; Woolworths and Telkom.
You Say You Love Me
The super funk electronic act is back with new music, and aside from entertaining you regularly with kickass viral videos they want to make you feel a little something with the tunes too.
The new single has a visual that is a determined celebration of identity and sexuality. It features one of Cape Town’s top drag performers, Manila Von Teez. Manila is at the centre of the story that focuses on love, rejection, and all of the complexities that arise between two people who are intimate with one another.
“When we shot the video for You Say You Love Me, we wanted to do a video that was not only fun & different, but also a video that would be empowering to the LGBT community in Cape Town while providing a platform to showcase the amazing talent that we have here in our Cape Town LGBT community.” – Dave Scott
Ironically enough, this beautiful video was filmed on the same day as the horrific homophobic nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida. In honour of those who had lost their lives the Kiffness is dedicating this video to all of them in remembrance.
