Several European festivals will still go ahead this year
All is not lost if you are determined to go to any European festivals this year.
As reported by DJMag, there are a few European festivals that are still set to go ahead this summer.
Croatia and Serbia seem to be happy to go ahead and there are said to be several festivals also planned in Malta.
Where da European festivals at???
In Croatia, the BSH Island Festival will take place from 9th to the 13th July on the island of Pag at Noa Beach Club.
The line-up includes ARTBAT, Honey Dijon, Richy Ahmed and Paco Osuna.
Croatia only has 3,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country, and 110 deaths to date so perhaps this has something to do with why the BSH Island Festival is happening.
In Serbia, the EXIT festival is also scheduled to go-ahead from the 13th to the 16th August,
Our very own Black Coffee is confirmed to perform there as well as VTSS, Paul Kalkbrenner, and Roni Size.
For most of the world, the music festival industry has been decimated with almost every significant event cancelled or postponed until next year and even that remains an uncertain future.
Locally and globally there has been a regular stream of Live Streaming festivals but the verdict is well and truly out on how keen people really are on this.
Tomorrowland has made promises of something special for their digital festival called Tomorrowland – Around the World on 25 July and many industry insiders will be watching with interest to see if they can pull of something bigger and better than what has largely pretty uninspiring so far with online music events.
Nothing beats the real thing and we can’t wait to get back on a dancefloor but safety first!!!
