Drake enters weed industry with new cannabis brand
Drake enters weed industry with his new cannabis brand, “More Life Growing Company.”
The words, “take me to your dealer” have never held as much star power they do now with Drake going into the cannabis production business.
Now that weed is legal (finally), it seems like a match made in heaven pairing rappers and marijuana together. Drake joins fellow rappers Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg in embarking on this “joint” mission to cash in on the stoned cash cow.
Based in his home-town of Toronto, Canada, Drake has partnered up with Canopy Growth Corporation for his own weed production company More Life Growth Company which will be “centered around wellness, discovery and overall personal growth with the hope of facilitating connections and shared experiences across the globe,” the company’s reps said. (And getting people high, let’s not lie.)
More Life and More Blessing
CEO of Canopy Growth Corp, Mark Zekulin released a statement saying:
“Drake’s perspective as a culture leader and entrepreneur combined with Canopy Growth’s breadth of cannabis knowledge will allow our new company to bring an unmatched cannabis experience to global markets.”
As for Drake, he said that “the opportunity to partner with a world-class company like Canopy Growth on a global scale is really exciting. The idea of being able to build something special in an industry that is ever-growing has been inspiring. More Life and More Blessing.”
A few weeks ago Drake sent “More Life” flowers (not buds) to the offices of radio, TV and other broadcasters in Toronto, asking people to follow the @morelife account on Instagram.
Drake enters weed industry, hopefully, he won’t get booed for this- too soon?
