DJ Shimza’s One Man Show slayed Europe
DJ Shimza’s One Man Show is going international.
Shimza’s One Man Show is no stranger to Mzansi, with the charity show currently running in its 12th year, but it’s time for the One Man Show to hit the international circuit.
Without the home field advantage, Shimza was feeling nervous over the attendance of his One Man Show in Paris over the weekend, but despite his uncertainty he was determined to show Paris what he’s made of, and boy did they love it.
“This reminded me of how I felt the next morning after my first-ever One Man Show back at home. A voice of my soul saying to me, ‘You started, boy – just be patient and you’ll see.’ Eleven years later, that same voice is saying the same thing to me.
“Thank you, Paris, for welcoming me with open arms. We’ve definitely started something magical together and I’m expecting to see you in Tembisa soon,” Shimza said after his successful show.
One Man Show across the globe
Rather than getting stuck playing gigs year-round in SA, DJ Shimza hopes that after a few more years of nurturing the project he’ll be able to travel the world performing sold-out One Man Shows.
His One Man Show roster for 2019 is looking bright, with shows lined up in Portugal and possibly Angola, in addition to SA shows.
“Look, it sounds ambitious, but I have this dream that I am working towards. I see myself travelling around the world to do my own show on my own terms. My shows will be sold out and I will be doing what I love around the world.
“Right now I just have to pour my all into these shows that I have, so that when my dream finally happens, I will be completely ready!”
The success of DJ Shimza’s One Man Show is testament to perseverance and hard work; we wish him the best for his future endeavors.
