DJ InviZAble’s trike stolen in Cape Town – help him find it
DJ InviZAble’s strike, his beloved Skorofietsie, has been stolen.
If you’re thinking, “who cares about a trike,” think again for this is no ordinary form of transport, but rather the sonic chariot SA’s premier purveyor of XiFi, DJ InviZAble.
Over the weekend, InviZAble’s beloved performance trike, Skorofietsie, mysteriously vanished from Upper Orange Street in Cape Town without a trace.
Sources close to the intelligence department are still unclear as to the whereabouts of Skorofietsie, the independent sound system of the faceless phantom.
Off the back end of a bustling weekend with shows at Bazique and Village Idiot and a majestic live stream off the coastline of Cape Town with Esizay, InviZAble has gone into mourning.
Save the sweet sonic chariot
DJ InviZAble has morphed into a bigger creative project that’s not just about music. He had a successful exhibition at the Everard Read Gallery in Cape Town and is also working on a graphic novel coming. ‘The Skorofietsie,’ which was incorporated into the exhibition, is a standalone street performance in its own right- basically a sound system on a bicycle.
In a transmission from the scene of the crime in Upper Orange Street, InviZAble made a statement saying he is now beginning to understand human emotion through the sadness he has felt since Saturday night.
“I wish to be reunited with the Skorofietsie so that I can regain mobility and continue my quest for harmony on this planet,” he said.
The DJ is offering a reward for any information that could lead to the whereabouts of the sweet sonic chariot.
This comes a few days after fellow electronic music maven Ryan Murgatroyd got robbed in his house.
