DJ Awards 2016 Categories & Nominees
The DJ Awards 2016 categories and nominees have been announced.
The DJ Awards 2016 line up is the biggest they have ever had complete with twelve categories and a massive one hundred and thirteen nominees for the public to vote for.
Our very own Black Coffee has been nominated in the Deep house category and considering his massive popularity in Ibiza, he must have a really good chance.
This will cap off a pretty good 6 months after his scoop of 4 SAMA22 awards this year.
The DJ Awards 2016 will be the nineteenth year that the awards show takes place. On the 3rd of October they will be back in Pacha Ibiza to hand out the much talked about prizes. What started out as a DJ poll back in 1998, has grown into a benchmark of success for all those shaping out a production and DJ career within the global electronic dance music scene.
Over the last few months the categories for the DJ Awards 2016 were compiled by a panel of ‘electronic dance music experts’. The job is said to have been a complicated one with everyone having different views on the relevance of proposed categories.
They settled on the following:
There are nine music genre categories, which cover a broad spectrum of electronic music, including;
