6-year-old DJ Arch Jnr to compete in America’s Got Talent: The Champions
DJ Arch Jnr will strut his stuff on a global scale.
6-year-old Arch Jnr, real name Oratilwe AJ Hlongwane, had South Africa enthralled when he won South Africa’s Got Talent in 2015 at the tender age of 3.
But instead of fading away like most talent competition winners do, it seems that this pint-sized DJ’s career is sky-rocketing.
He beat out Japan’s 7-year old DJ Itsuki Morita to become the official world’s youngest DJ in the Guinness Book Of World Records.
And now he’s been chosen as one of the 50 acts to compete in the America’s Got Talent spin-off, America’s Got Talent: The Champions.
The Arch of champions
Behind every talented kid is a stage mom, or in this case dad, pushing them to reach greatness. Behind Arch is his dad, Glen Hlongwane, who gave him an iPad at 4 months old and let him fiddle with a deejaying app- this is the future.
Soon the Tomorrowland main stage will have a whole day for junior’s, with performances from kids 3-10 playing tracks and shouting ‘put your hands up’ into the mic.
And look, even though there were more talented acts in SAs Got Talent, the truth is that TV Talent shows like SA’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent is purely for entertainment. (duh)
America’s Got Talent: The Champions premieres in the US on 7 January, 2019 and will feature contestants from around the world including Britain, Australia and Belgium.
DJ Arch Jnr will compete against the likes of Susan Boyle and more.
