SUPA MEGA SHOW Cape Town
For his Mother City performance, the SUPA MEGA SHOW Cape Town will feature a live band, a state-of-the-art technical production, and a supporting line-up of some of SA’s hip-hop heavyweights and DJs. Fans can also purchase exclusive AKA merchandise on the night.
This year AKA has also received five AFRIMMA 2016 nominations which make him the most nominated artist out of South Africa. He is up for awards in the following categories: Best Rap Act, Artist Of The Year, Best Male Southern Africa (for the second consecutive year), Best Collaboration and Song Of The Year.
AKA has also been announced as the first ever hip-hop artist to be included on the Spring Fiesta Main Stage.
AKA and his team promises that the local rapper will bring his all to his performance and wow Cape Town with his stage prowess and set-up.
The local rapper is also sharing his music business success with someone very close and important to him. Recently, AKA bought his mom a new car and surprised her with it at the dealership. He tricked her into thinking that her application for a new car had been rejected. She was then handed a big bunch of flowers and was told that her son had already bought her the car.
