Airbnb bans house parties
Airbnb bans house parties!
Some may say it was inevitable and some owners who have rented their houses out through Airbnb may be relieved.
Back in 2017 they even added Music Experiences when they collaborated with SOFAR Sounds to their offering but things have certainly changes since then.

Fast forward 2020 and the world of Vovid-19 and Airbnb bans house parties from taking place in properties rented through its platform.
It’s not just parties…
Airbnb has also imposed a guest limit of 16 people staying in the accommodation unless it’s a Boutique Hotel and if you are under-25 you may also struggle to book through the app unless you three or more three positive ratings renting full homes close to where you live.
They’ve even removed the option to search for “event friendly” or suitable for “parties and events” properties.
Airbnb released a statement about its plans for new measures, saying: “Instituting a global ban on parties and events is in the best interest of public health!”
They’ve acknowledged that some guests “take bar and club behaviour to homes sometimes rented through our platforms”.
“We think such conduct is incredibly irresponsible – we do not want that type of business, and anyone engaged in or allowing that behaviour does not belong on our platform,” they said in their statement.
