12 year old techno DJ from Milan lays it down on CDJs
Federico Gardenghi is a 12 year old techno DJ from Milan. He is the latest in the stream of pre-school juniors becoming famous for their DJing skills.
In South Africa we had Arch Jnr, the three year old who won the “South Africa’s Got Talent” contest.
We were also accused by some of being a killjoy because we questioned whether Arch Jnr’s controller was plugged in during the finals of the SA’s Got Talent show he won.
Then there is also John Anthony, who is a nine year old DJ that got to play at the main stage at Sunset Music Festival.
Talent has no age restriction
These kids are ridiculously cute and talented; and despite the initial reaction of judgment, it doesn’t take away from the art of DJing. Or at least it doesn’t have to. There have always been kids who are skilled and talented beyond their years on just about every musical instrument known to man.
Brilliant piano players, violinists, and even ballet dancers who all still have their milk teeth. Seeing a little kid, like the 12 year old techno DJ, doing his thing should in fact make you excited for the future of electronic music and the world of DJing.
Inevitably there will be some reasonable criticism around how a kid could possess the knowledge and skill to pull of playing a live set on his or her own. And that is fine, as long as you bear in mind that these are simply kids who are living out their dreams and passions. Federico Gardenghi is one of these kids and it should be interesting to see what sort of DJ and/or musician he turns into in the future.
This 12 year old techno DJ, reportedly, has an evolved taste for the sounds of techno. You can check out the little tyke in action in the video he shared to his Facebook timeline.
In the clip he is playing the track “Give Me Luv” remixed by Nicole Moudaber.
