Over 70 pro plugins from Waves Audio now available in NKS format
Award winning audio plugin developers, Waves Audio, introduce over 70 of their award-winning plugins to Native Instruments’ NKS format.
Native Instruments’ NKS format is quickly becoming one of the many industry standards for plugins, due to the tight integration with Native Instruments software and hardware platforms. Native Instruments have always prided themselves on intuitive control and seamless assimilation into any music making setup. It’s fantastic to see real high-end audio developers like Waves making forays into the NKS format, as it aims to create a smoother workflow.
All the parameters for the new Waves NKS-ready plugins come pre-mapped to controls on all Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol and Maschine products, and all the presets are thoughtfully categorized using the NKS tag system.
The benefits of Native Instruments’ NKS format are, like I mentioned above, the nifty tag-based browsing system, universally pre-mapped controls for Native Instruments hardware and instant sound previews. Hopefully we see a lot more of the high-end audio plugin developers following suit and making their plugins NKS-ready.
Let’s have a look at some of the new NKS-ready Waves Audio plugins…
I’m happy to see some of my personal favourites on the list, H-Delay, one of my all-time favourites for that iconic “dub-delay” sound, CLA-2A/CLA-3A and CLA-76, legendary compressor emulations, PuigTec EQs, classic EQ emulations and Pusher, the “sonic enhancer” developed in collaboration with electronic music production legends Infected Mushroom.
Waves Audio’s award-winning synthesizer plugins Element and Codex alongside their epic piano plugins Electric 88, Electric 200 and Grand Rhapsody are now NKS-ready. A bit of everything for sound design, songwriting, mixing and mastering.
The Waves plugins are seriously high-end, so they don’t come cheap. However, to launch their NKS-ready promotion, they’re offering some discount of up to 40% depending on how many plugins you purchase (for a limited time)
If you’re a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol or Maschine user, I highly suggest checking the Waves Audio stuff.
