Virtual DJ 2020 integrates with Beatport Link streaming service
Beatport and Virtual DJ join forces to introduce the Beatport Link streaming service directly into Virtual DJ 2020.
Beatport has just announced that its flagship streaming subscription service, Beatport Link, is coming to the world’s most popular DJ software application, Virtual DJ.
Streaming service integration is certainly the current metagame in the DJ software industry, with all of the “big name” professional DJ software applications jumping onto the bandwagon, now the incredibly popular free software, Virtual DJ, has a solution.
Beatport has been at the forefront of digital audio sales for a long time, their catalogue already consists of over six million tracks, the new integration allows users to access the entire library of music without having to carry around extra storage devices, there’s also an offline locker for storing tracks, in-case internet connectivity is an issue.
“With over 100,000,000 downloads, VirtualDJ is the most widely used DJ software in the world,” explains Beatport’s CEO, Robb McDaniels. “We couldn’t be more excited to add this large and passionate community to the rapidly expanding Beatport LINK ecosystem.”
How to set it up…
Virtual DJ 2020 is available for free; however, users will need a subscription account with Beatport to get the system up and running. Simply download and install Virtual DJ 2020, open the “Online Music” tab in your library and connect to your Beatport Link or Beatport Link Pro account.
Pricing on the different subscription plans are as follows:
– Beatport Link – USD $14.99 (Around R230) per month
– Beatport Link Pro – USD $39.99 (Around R610) per month
– Beatport Link Pro+ – USD $59.99 (Around R920) per month
