UVI Drum Designer makes creating electronic drum sounds easy
UVI Drum Designer is the new library designed around UVI Falcon and Workstation’s in-depth hybrid sampling/synth engine.
I’m refraining from calling it a “sample library” as UVI Drum Designer is a lot more than that. The system is designed around UVI’s hybrid engine, incorporating the best of both the sampling and synthesis worlds. The library brings together over 5700 samples and extensive wavetable synthesis to further shape and enhance the samples.
UVI Drum Designer is essentially four engines packaged into one application – “Kick Designer”, “Snare Designer”, “Clap Designer” and “Cymbal Designer”. The built-in sequencer allows you to create beats using a combination of eight of the abovementioned engines or choose from over 100 built-in sequencer presets.
UVI Drum Designer has a built-in mixer and a variety of built-in effects, allowing you to get the perfect drum mix straight out of your plugin. Once you’ve created the perfect drum sound, simply drag-and-drop the clip into your DAW for further MIDI editing and arrangement.
How much content is in the library? And what are we getting?
UVI Drum Designer comes with almost 1.8 GB of content, 316 preset drum kits, 424 kick drum presets, 399 snares, 325 claps and over 400 cymbals. The library has a quick-and-easy macro editor; however, you also have access to the advanced controls, allowing you to tweak the presets to perfect or use the intuitive interface to create your own unique sounds.
UVI Drum Designer is compatible with UVI’s free Workstation software, however it’s also compatible with UVI’s flagship Falcon software, which opens up some more advanced features like scripting.
The UVI Drum Designer library is retailing for USD $149 (Around R2200) however they’ve offering a launch special of 33.5% off, so if you grab it before 1 October 2018 you’ll pay USD $99 (Around R1500).
