Tonstrum FRQ Shift is an inspiring new plugin for music creation, sound design and post-production, it’s capable of transforming any sound source in a variety of ways – from subtle stereo widening effects to wild atmospheric sounds.
At its core, the plugin features two frequency shifting processors, these are different to pitch shifting which generally retains the harmonic structure of a sound, this can create wild results. The frequency shifter section features a feedback path with a variety of effects – a delay, a resonator and a filter.
The plugin is intuitive and incredibly easy to use, it features a wide variety of modulation capabilities from traditional LFOs, envelope followers, custom LFOs and a random generator. Don’t be fooled by the shockingly simple interface, the plugin goes pretty deep.
It’s capable as a sound design tool for creating everything from atmospheric pad sounds, or as a mixing tool for creating interesting stereo effects. It’s also capable of mid-side processing for even more interesting stereo effects.
