Teenage Engineering PO-137 Vocal Synth – Rick and Morty Edition
Introducing the new limited edition Teenage Engineering PO-137 – a collaboration between Teenage Engineering and Rick and Morty producer, Justin Roland.
The new Teenage Engineering PO-137 is a vocal synthesizer and sampler, similar to the PO-35 Speak however it comes with eight different voice sampling “character” options. It’s a collaboration with co-creator, producer and voice of Rick and Morty, Justin Roland.
The Teenage Engineering PO-137 features vocals sampled from Roeland’s voice and custom animated Rick and Morty visuals on the LCD screen.
The new Teenage Engineering PO-137 will include all of the features from Teenage Engineering’s Metal Series, such as the built-in microphone, 120 second sample memory and more. It’s also got eight internal effects alongside the ability to transpose and set specific scales to trigger.
There’s also an internal drum synthesizer borrowed from the PO-32. For those who don’t know the Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator series, they’re incredibly compact and intuitive digital synths which make use of fun animations on the LCD screen for patch information and various other settings.
How powerful is the synth engine?
The new Teenage Engineering PO-137 also has a built-in sequencer, allowing you to sequence vocals, effects, parameters and the internal drum synthesizer.
As mentioned above it comes pre-loaded with Rick and Morty vocal samples, and using the internal engine you can create all sorts of crazy sounds – you can also record in your own samples. Die-hard Rick and Morty fans, this one’s for you.
