Tascam TH-07 announce new high-definition studio monitoring headphones
Tascam was one of the first to bring recording into the home-studio and the Tascam TH-07 are their new monitoring headphones.
The core focus behind the new Tascam TH-07 is maximum comfort while delivering premium audio quality. Theyβre great for producing, mixing, monitoring or even as traditional listening headphones for the more discerning audiophile. The headphones are closed-back and feature 50mm drivers, they offer sufficient isolation for most applications, although due to the closed-back nature they might not be as acoustically accurate as an open or semi-open pair of headphones, that being said Tascam have endeavoured to deliver a response as close to what you would expect from Studio Monitors.
The Tascam TH-07 employ a fold and swivel design, making them ideal for one-ear monitoring and packing up tight into a carry bag for travel or field work. The headphones also ship with a choice of two detachable cables, one short coiled design and a long straight design and an adapter making them ideal for almost any situation.
The Tascam TH-07 boast a frequency response of 10 Hz to 30 kHz and sensitivity of 100db, making them great for studio production and live performance applications.
Who is the ideal Tascam TH-07 user?
While the Tascam TH-07 are designed to closely reproduce the response of Studio Monitors, I feel that open-back headphones will ultimately give you a more accurate response, that being said the Tascam TH-07 are a fantastic option for producers who are taking their live acts on stage and need an accurate sound with isolation that open-back headphones canβt give you. Theyβre also a great option for DJs who prefer audio fidelity over volume or an accentuated low-end.
