Steinberg UR22mkII Production Pack is the most affordable solution for setting up a Steinberg Cubase based recording and production setup.

At the heart of Steinberg’s new recording solution bundle is their highly-renowned UR22mkII audio interface that features two Yamaha D-Pre class-A discrete microphone preamps with phantom power, stereo outputs with an additional headphone out with its own individual volume control. The interface is capable of sample rates up to 24-bit/192kHz and even features a MIDI input and output, In terms of the interface, it is everything you need to set up a fully-fledged home recording or music production studio.

The bundle contains a studio condenser microphone and accessories, perfect to get you recording vocals or acoustic instruments straight out the box. Furthermore, Steinberg also throw in a pair of reference headphones for monitoring.

Does the bundle come with a fully working DAW platform?

The Steinberg UR22mkII Production Pack includes Steinberg’s DAW platform, Cubase Artist 9.5, alongside their more in-depth audio editing and mastering suite, Wavelab Elements 9.5. As you can see they’ve included a lot more than just the basics to get you going, Cubase Artist is actually pretty fully-featured for most day-to-day music production tasks – and Steinberg even offers an upgrade path if you do ever decide to upgrade to their flagship Cubase Pro platform.

For those who are looking at using it with an iPad, Steinberg has you covered, the bundle also includes their Cubasis LE mobile DAW app for iOS.

The bundle retails for EUR€ 399 (Around R6600 excl. duties), which is not far off from what you would pay for just the Cubase Artist software alone!
