Speakase is a suitcase equipped with a Bluetooth speaker
Have sound that travels with Morel’s suitcase, the Speakase.
Morel is known for creating swanky speakers for your cars and homes, and now they want customers to have clear sound wherever they go.
Now, they have a new project currently on Kickstarter that poses an interesting solution for travellers- a Bluetooth speaker that can be used alone or slip inside a specially designed suitcase- the Speakase.
The product is made up of two separately-working items that can work in tandem: The speaker called Nomadic, and the suitcase called Speakase.
Nomadic is a stereo speaker that features two 6-inches by 4-inch woofers, two 22mm tweeters, and an open baffle (box-less) dipole design.
The speaker is compatible with Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless playback, and it supports aptX HD, allowing for the transmission of music at a CD-like quality of 16-bit/44.1kHz.
Have sound, love travel
The speaker is also very sleek, with an ultra-thin profile and black and gold colour scheme.
Though both items work seamlessly on their own, when used together they provide the ultimate sound journey.
The speaker slides into the suitcase by folding its legs in (which also turns off all sound) and acts as a driver, using the internal volume of the Speakase to push out big, lifelike sound.
The Speakase is a real suitcase, made up of a durable polycarbonate shell with an aluminium-sealed reinforced frame, protecting your speaker and clothes from the shock of travelling.
The size of the Speakase is 21.7 inches by 14.6 inches by 9.8 inches- just bigger than a carry on case.
Included is a built-in charger that’s accessible from the front so you can easily charge your speaker no matter where you go.
The Nomadic Bluetooth Speaker is available for pre-order at $179, while the speaker suitcase goes for $379, with the delivery date of August 2018 expected.
