SoundCloud Pulse – a new app for artists to connect with fans
SoundCloud Pulse is a new app launched by the beleaguered music hosting company designed to help artists connect with fans. The last few months have seen many artists who make use of SoundCloud complaining over the copyright problems with the streaming and music sharing website.
The idea behind their new app, SoundCloud Pulse, serves as a reminder that they want the power over the music to remain in and in many cases move back to the hands of the artists. The mission is to balance out the power that fat cat record label executives have over the artists’ music.
SoundCloud Pulse has been designed to encourage communication between the artist and his or her fans and followers.
There is nothing like genuine human interaction between individuals and the artists that they follow, support and admire.
People are more likely to be interested in you if they can relate to you after you have humanised yourself to them and made them feel validated, appreciated, and respected.
Hardwell in fact has been one of the EDM artists who proved this several years ago.
It’s an aspect of celebrity and in growing a career with a strong following which takes up a considerable amount of energy and commitment. It is worth it in the bigger picture though.
SoundCloud Pulse is a companion to the SoundCloud app. It gives you the creator and taste maker the opportunity manage your account better while having a direct connection with your followers and fans.
SoundCloud Pulse allows you to access management features while you are on the go. You will be able to get your latest track stats, reply to comments on your uploads, follow other accounts that you share a similarity with, and you will be able to share new sounds either privately or publicly from your hand held device.
At the moment the new app is only available for Android, but the iOS version will soon be released.
