Serato DJ Lite update introduces several professional features

Serato just announced a new Serato DJ Lite update, introducing a bunch of features from their professional software platform.

Serato DJ Lite is the free DJ software platform designed for use with a variety of different controllers.

The application was originally designed to be a watered-down version of their more professional application, Serato DJ Pro, however, they’re adding more and more features which make it a very viable option for beginner to intermediate DJs.

The biggest new feature in the update…

One of the biggest new additions is the new Beatgrids system, this greatly expands the usability of the free platform as you can alter the way tracks sync together, a lot of the time the auto-grid will be slightly off and need a bit of adjustment.

Serato have also added in-app tutorials to help those newcomers to DJing and the Serato platform, and it’s also no fully compatible with the infamous macOS Catalina OS. It also comes bundled with free tracks in various genres to practice mixing with, a great system for beginners.
