Roland DJ-202 & DJ-505 controllers announced
The Roland DJ-202 and DJ-505 are two brand new DJ controllers just announced by the global tech company, indicating their commitment and intentions to solidify their footprint in the DJ sector of the electronic dance music market. This comes after releasing their first ever DJ controller in 2016, namely the Roland DJ-808.
Both the Roland DJ-202 and DJ-505 DJ controllers have a built-in drum machine with TR-808 and TR-909 sounds which is what sets them apart from their competitors.
Like the DJ-808, these new additions are both Serato Dj controllers.
No suggested prices have been mooted as yet.
But Roland have a couple of other tricks up their sleeve too…

Roland DJ-505
The DJ-505, like the DJ-202 is also a two-channel DJ controller; however it comes packaged with the full Serato Tool Kit.
This means you have four-deck control of Serato DJ.
The DJ-505 has low-latency platters which Roland insists will deliver lag-free seamless performance for scratch DJs, dedicated FX controls, built-in drum kits from Roland’s classic TR-808 and TR-909 drum machine which can either be triggered on the 8 performance pads or sequenced on the onboard TR-S sequencer. The sequencer has a dedicated TR-style interface, and TR drum sounds and Serato samples can be adjusted in real time using panel knobs. The DJ-505’s mixer is Serato DVS Upgrade Ready, and can be used standalone with multi-players or turntables connected to the line and phono inputs.
