New RODE NT-USB Mini mic is versatile and easy-to-use
The RODE NT-USB Mini brings the pristine sound quality of RODE’s world-class studio mics to a compact, easy-to-use USB microphone.
In 2014 RODE brought their world-renowned condenser microphone quality to a USB platform, proving that incredible audio quality doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive. Now they’re offering the same in a more compact and affordable solution than ever before. The new RODE NT-USB Mini has been designed with versatility, simplicity and great audio quality in mind – making studio-quality recordings more accessible than ever.
The new microphone is great for everything from dialogue to more musical applications like instruments or vocals. It features a cardioid polar pattern which has been optimized for less room noise, and the capsule is highly immune to RF interference from other gear in your recording space.
The unique form factor…
The RODE NT-USB Mini looks a bit strange at first, however, there is method in the madness. The unique rectangular form-factor allows for a massive variety in microphone placement. It features a 360-degree swivel-mount allowing it to fit into even the most cramped studio spaces. It features a sturdy magnetic desktop base, or it can be attached to a traditional microphone stand. The microphone features a built-in pop filter – something that can get tricky in smaller spaces or be a bit of an eyesore for streamers and podcasters.
The microphone also features a high-quality headphone amplifier with integrated volume control and direct monitoring, for when you need to hear the source with no latency. It’s sleek and features very sturdy construction, it’s class-compliant USB – meaning it will work with most computers, laptops and tablets without the need for extra drivers.
The RODE NT-USB Mini is set to retail at USD $99 (Around R1500 excl. duties), that is an incredibly competitive price!
