Rob Papen B.I.T – go back in time with this new VST synthesiser
Rob Papen B.I.T is an analog-modelled software synthesiser, aimed at capturing the sound and ease-of-use of classic synths.
The new Rob Papen B.I.T is designed to be incredibly intuitive and easy-to-use, while still offering a ton of more advanced capabilities for those who want to take things a step further. The interface is simple and incredibly visual – with a display of your oscillator waveforms, an oscilloscope for each of them and an output oscilloscope – offering you insight into what’s happening under the hood. This is great for beginners to learn the basics of sound design and what makes up the final sound that we hear.
B.I.T has two main oscillators and a sub oscillator with just a volume control, each of the main oscillators has several parameters and contain several waveforms based on classic analog synths. The oscillators have an advanced panel which opens up an independant envelope and LFO for each of them.
Nowadays a variety plugins focus on bringing in the best of both the classic-analog and advanced-digital worlds, this can be a good thing although it departs from some of the aspects that made some of those synths classic.
Inspired by the sounds and playability of classic analog synths
Rob Papen B.I.T has all the basics you need to recreate those classic sound with a touch of modern convenience in the form of a deep modulation matrix, various intuitive play modes and internal effects. There’s an advanced arpeggiator that allows for various parameters to be modulated alongside the sequence, even a “free” modulation lane that you can assign to anything you want within the plugin.
