Reloop RP-4000 MK2 – professional decks that won’t break the bank
The Reloop RP-4000 MK2 is the second iteration of their popular affordable DJ turntable, with improved look-and-feel, construction and a few key features.
The RP-4000 MK2 is Reloop’s newest turntable, building on the success of the original.
It features a quartz-driven, direct-drive motor. The RP-4000 MK2’s motor pushes out over 1.8kg/cm of torque at three different platter speeds – 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM. Furthermore, you can adjust the pitch range between +/- 8% to +/- 16%, altogether offering you staggeringly huge variation in tempo control.
The Reloop RP-4000 MK2 features a pitch reset button, allowing you to quickly jump back to the original tempo of a record. Reloop have added a reverse switch, that reverses the playback of your record, and using another switch you’re able to change the position of your target light – so you can see exactly where your needle is in those low-light situations.
Reloop’s new RP-4000 MK2 features a statically balanced S-shaped tonearm with hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanisms – for increased accuracy and performance.
With all these high-end features, you wouldn’t expect the RP-4000 MK2 to be so affordable
Beside all the features you would expect on a professional DJ turntable, the second iteration of Reloop’s RP-4000 features several improvements such as a new redesigned top-panel and an enhanced look-and-feel on the buttons and controls. It features sturdy, rugged construction with optimized shock-absorbing feet to improve overall isolation in noisy environments.
The Reloop RP-4000 MK2 comes pre-fitted with professional pick-up and headshell made by legendary Danish company Ortofon – so you can get spinning, straight out of the box. Don’t be fooled by the price-point, the RP-4000 MK2 really is a serious contender in the turntable market. It has all the premium features that vinyl DJs need, and it’s built to withstand the rigor of any performance. The Reloop RP-4000 MK2 is set to retail at 289 Euro (Around R 4,300 excl. duties), definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for new decks.
