Reloop just announced two new budget-friendly DJ Turntable models
Two budget-friendly Reloop DJ Turntables have been added to their lineup of DJ turntables – RP-1000 MK2 and RP-2000 USB MK2.
First up is the Reloop RP-1000 MK2, this is a belt-drive turntable so it’s probably not good enough for the scratch DJs out there, however it features an S-shaped tonearm and =/-10% pitch range, so it should work for basic vinyl DJ requirements.
The Reloop RP-2000 USB MK2 is a direct-drive turntable, meaning it’s much more suited for both scratch and traditional vinyl DJs. It has a built-in Phono pre-amp, meaning you don’t need an external preamp or DJ mixer to use it, and furthermore you can plug your laptop or computer in via USB and rip your vinyl to MP3 or wav.
Both the RP-1000 MK2 and the RP-2000 USB MK2 ship with a professional Ortofon OM Black cartridge and feature a newly designed metal chassis. They both feature statically balanced tonearms, with hydraulic lift and an anti-skating mechanism
Do the new Reloop DJ Turntables ship with all the needed accessories?
Both the RP-1000 MK2 and RP-2000 USB MK2 models feature mounting for optional dust covers, and they ship with all of the accessories to get you going straight away – a slipmat, headshell, counterweight and Ortofon OM Black cartridge. They both feature 332mm aluminium die-cast platters.
Both new Reloop DJ Turntables are incredibly affordable, the RP-1000 MK2 is set to retail at EUR €219 (Around R3600 excl. duties) and the RP-2000 USB MK2 is set to retail at EUR €279 (Around R4600 excl. duties). Compared to the higher-end brands of turntable that can fetch up to double the price, there aren’t all that many differences in specs.
Whether you’re a beginner vinyl DJ looking for an affordable setup for home, or a season turntablist looking for a backup setup, Reloop range of turntables now features options in almost all price brackets.
