Rekordbox 4.2.1 now includes Vinyl & CD ripping
Rekordbox 4.2.1 has been released and it comes with some interesting new enhancements.
The most significant update in Rekordbox 4.2.1 is the fact that you can now record from an external sound source such as a CDJ or a turntable and these digital files will automatically update to your library.
What’s really cool about Rekordbox 4.2.1 is that the software will actually detect the silence between songs and create a separate song file for each. This means one can actually record and entire album in one go. For vinyl this is particularly useful because picking up the needle and placing it every time could be a real pain in the butt.
Just in time for their new turntable
Pioneer DJ have just announced their brand new PLX-500 turntable which is aimed at home listeners and for DJing at home. It has USB so using the PLX-500 with Rekordbox 4.2.1 is a cinch.
Another notable addition to Rekordbox 4.2.1 is the new RMX Effects Plus Pack for Rekordbox DJ users. This adds the custom FX available on the RMX remix stations to the DJ software.
Rekordbox 4.2.1 can be downloaded for free from the Pioneer DJ website.
