Reclouder – the incredibly compact standalone audio recorder
Reclouder is a standalone two-channel audio recorder with internal microphone preamp, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for direct online storage.
Reclouder is a compact and portable audio recorder that compliments almost any application, from live bands and DJs to videographers and sound engineers. The device features an SD card slot for storage, however a really cool aspect of the Reclouder is the fact that it has integrated Bluetooth to connect multiple devices and Wi-Fi to connect directly to cloud-based online storage.
The Reclouder allows for unlimited expansion, simply connect up multiple devices via Bluetooth and via a single one of them, you’re able to control the recording of all of the connected recorders, allowing them to all fire-off at the same time. Reclouder has a mobile app that allows you to control all of the connected devices alongside various other settings.
The Reclouder records at up to 24-bit/ 96kHz, it has a single XLR/TRS combo input for microphone or line inputs and an XLR/TRS “thru” connection to send the signal to a PA system or another recording device. There are a further two 3.5mm input for lapel microphones and an output for both headphone monitoring and auxiliary use.
Incredibly compact, on-touch recording…
The Reclouder is powered by USB or 3x AAA batteries and it has an optional extra hot-shoe mount for attaching it to DSLR cameras, making it a great solution for mobile recording and video producers. The fact that you can easily backup your recording at the tap of a button is fantastic, provided there is a Wi-Fi connection of course – which may not always be the case in mobile situations.
They haven’t announced an official retail price yet although they have stated in a blog post that they aim to keep it around the USD $199 (Around R2900 excl. duties) price point.
