Pusher is a new Waves plugin from Infected Mushroom
Waves have released a brand new plugin designed in collaboration with electronic and psytrance duo, Infected Mushroom and it is called Pusher.
In a nutshell Pusher is a sonic enhancer and a clipper/limiter plugin.
Their comments are quite funny; it sounds like something Carnage said when he released his laughable Razer tutorial which ended up with a bunch of funny memes.
Infected Mushroom says that Pusher will deliver their “secret mixing sauce” and “will make almost anything sound better in a matter of seconds.”
The Lowdown
As mentioned Pusher is both a sonic enhancer but also has a limiter which is no surprise since the Infected boys are known for pushing the audio bandwidth to the limit in their mixdowns. You can adjust low, mid and high frequencies separately or excite / boost all frequencies with one single knob called the Magic Knob.
You can “master full tracks in any genre or style,” they say. Or simply use Pusher to brighten sounds.
Other features include being able to widen the stereo image of higher frequencies, as well as pushing the mix to maximum using digital clipping and limiting.
Infected Mushroom say…
“We wanted to combine our mixing and mastering tricks that we’ve been working on for 20 years into one plugin. Pusher will make almost anything sound better in a matter of seconds.”
Pusher can be used on individual tracks, busses and full mixes, and is designed to be employed both in the studio and on stage (low-latency operation is promised).
Find out more about Pusher on the Waves website.
It is available now for PC and Mac for the introductory price of $29 [R 420]
The regular price is $49 and a demo can be downloaded, too.
