Propellerhead RIGS 3 bundles offer tailored rack extensions
Compiling your arsenal of sounds and devices is a tedious process, but Propellerhead RIGS make it much easier with their curated bundles.
Propellerhead RIGS bundles just got a huge makeover, with a variety of highly-tailored rack extensions from long-standing industry legends and unique new additions alike.
The all-new Propellerhead RIGS 3 introduces extensions from Softube, Korg, McDSP, Rob Papen and much more, bundled into 3 categories – Backline, Synthetic and Mix & Mastering.
Backline Rig 3 offers three new “A-List” musicians, including intuitive automatic drummers and guitarists – with mix presets tailored to get the sound you want, instantly.
Included in the bundle is StringWERK, Propellerheads’ intuitive string section instrument. StringWerk allows you to play Violins, Violas, Cellos and Basses with varying articulations and dynamic controls. The complete GForce Rack Extensions bundle also comes included, alongside a host of effects and loops.
The Synthetic Rig 3 adds a huge selection of new synthesizer extensions, the most notable being Reveal Sound’s ReSpire (award-winning Spire plugin remade as a rack extensions), Rob Papen’s Predator and SubBoomBass, Korg’s MonoPoly and Blamsoft’s Expanse.
The cherry on the top is the Mix & Mastering Rig 3, with a host of new devices specific to getting the best sound out of your projects.
Newly added Softube FET compressor and McDSP’s Moo Q equalizer and FutzBox are some of the highlights there.
The downside?
Rack extensions are made specifically for use with Propellerhead Reason software, so they won’t work in other DAWs.
Although some of the newly added instruments have been available as VSTs for quite some time.
Extensions also tend to have rather large file sizes, so it can be uninspiring waiting for huge downloads to finish with our less-than-average South African internet speeds.
The RIGS 3 bundles go for USD $349 (Around R4200), each packed with over 30 new extensions.
Owners of previous Propellerhead RIGS bundles can also update for USD $99 (Around R1200).
