Propellerhead Reason Compact puts the power of synthesis and sound-design into the hands of the masses, it’s a great learning tool for those who feel discouraged by complex DAWs as it is incredibly straightforward and easy-to-use.
Propellerhead Reason Compact is packed with some nifty features, from a smart keyboard – that isolates specific notes in a scale, to more advanced chord tools. If you’ve created your own patches on the Propellerhead Reason Compact app, you can simply export the patch for your Reason DAW. You can also transfer your melodies and MIDI sequences between the app and DAW.
Propellerhead Reason Compact’s multi-touch interface makes for a hands-on way of creating and tweaking your sounds. Users have been wishing for an iOS Reason app for years, and this might not be exactly what they wanted, it’s its own unique platform.
What operating systems are compatible with Propellerhead Reason Compact?
Sadly, for Android users, there has been no announcements for the operating system, so it’s iOS for now.
That being said the app is free on the Apple App Store, with some extra sound banks that can be purchased from within the app.
If you download the Propellerhead Reason Compact app before 30 September 2018, Propellerhead are offering 15 Reward Points that can be used to purchase in-app extras, or even additional content for your Reason DAW.
