PreSonus Studio One 4.6 update is out now – here’s what’s new!
The PreSonus Studio One 4.6 update has arrived, let’s have a look at some of the new additions.
First things first, PreSonus have announced that the new update is the final version of Studio One to include support for older OSs such as Windows 7, 8 and macOS 10.11, 10.12.
Thankfully they’ve given those users who may still be on older OSs enough time to plan for future updates, it also means that there are most likely big changes coming to the DAW in due time.
One of the biggest additions in the new PreSonus Studio One 4.6 update is the revamped Ampire plugin.
It features five additional classic amplifier remakes to the State Space series, five highly-renowned stompbox emulation, five new cabinet impulse responses and a built-in tuner.
They’ve also added a new Ampire XT Classics plugin which is the older version of Ampire, included for backward compatibility.
There’s a new plugin called Pedalboard, which is basically all of the stomp boxes from the Ampire plugin in a standalone plugin, great for experimenting with sound sources other than Guitar – as Ampire already has that covered. The plugin features 13 built-in effects and a bunch of presets to get started quickly.
A redesigned browser and PreSonus Exchange…
The new PreSonus Studio One 4.6 update also features a revamped browser for much easier navigation.
There are several browser modes to choose from, you’ve also got access to load a preset directly from the plugin browser.
They have also added a new PreSonus Shop tab, allowing you to explore new online content with a single mouse click. PreSonus have also revamped the PreSonus Exchange for much easier navigation, you can easily browse and favourite content to later recall in your DAW.
The PreSonus Studio One 4.6 update is free for all registered Studio One 4 users, for more information check out the PreSonus website here.
