New PreSonus Eris XT claims superior low-end and wide dispersion

PreSonus launch the next evolution of their series of incredibly well-priced studio monitors, the PreSonus Eris XT.

PreSonus has been hard at work redesigning their incredibly popular Eris series of affordable studio monitors.

The new PreSonus Eris XT range boasts a significant upgrade in audio fidelity with a larger and more controlled sweet spot. The biggest update in the new range of remastered Eris monitors is the addition of a new EBM (Elliptical Boundary Modeled) waveguide which boasts superior high-frequency response and a much wider 100-degree horizontal dispersion.

Both models in the new PreSonus Eris XT range feature a larger ported enclosure, allowing the same subwoofer to reproduce low frequencies as low as 35hz – where the previous models maxed out at around 45hz.

The enclosure is front-ported making it ideal for small and big rooms alike.

The new Eris XT series also features the three-way acoustic tuning settings, giving you the ability to fine-tune your monitors to best suit your room. They’ve also got a variety of inputs allowing you to connect almost any balanced or unbalanced source – RCA, TRS and XLR.

Eris remastered…

The Eris XT comes in two forms, the Eris E8 XT and Eris E5 XT which sport an 8” and 5” woofer respectively. The Eris E8 XT have a frequency response of 35hz to 20kHz, while the Eris E5 XT have a frequency response of 48hz to 20kHz. The new upgrades make the incredibly popular PreSonus studio monitors better and more versatile than ever before.

As usual the new PreSonus Eris XT series is incredibly well priced, the Eris E8 XT retail at USD $249.95 each (Around R 3,500 excl. duties) and the Eris E5 XT retail at USD $149.95 each (Around R 2,100 excl. duties).
