Pioneer SE-Master 1 Headphones will cost you $2600 – that’s R 31,000 and some change at today’s exchange rate.
They say the Pioneer SE-Master 1 Headphones have been five years in the making.
Pioneer has released a long line of ground breaking new products over the last year such as the CD-less XDJ-1000 to its all-in-one DJ system and the XDJ-RX. The latest from this iconic company is a premium set of Pioneer SE-Master headphones that will more than likely go way over your new headphones budget, if you were planning on getting a new pair that is.
Developed in conjunction with Onkyo Europe, the limited edition handmade SE-Master headphones boasts several premium features, including the “industry’s first aluminium diaphragm,” treated with Parker Ceramic Coating to boost rigidity and deliver superior performance.
“The result is high resolution sound across all frequencies with minimum noise,” according to the Pioneer announcement.
“The Pioneer SE-Master 1 Headphones are capable of reproducing high-resolution audio of up to 85,000Hz, more than double the minimum requirement for high-res headphones (40,000Hz). So you can experience every unadulterated detail in your music.”
These high-end headphones feature unique serial numbers, 50mm dynamic drivers with 1500mW maximum input, 45 ohms impedence, 94dB sensitivity and 5Hz – 85,000Hz frequency response.
If spending a whopping R 30K for a pair of headphones is something you could consider, then you might want to look into something a little more limited – like Stax SR-009 Electrostatic headphones.
