New Pioneer DJ DDJ-1000SRT Serato DJ Pro controller
Pioneer DJ DDJ-1000SRT – The all-new full sized four channel club standard DJ controller for Serato DJ Pro
The all-new Pioneer DJ DDJ-1000SRT combines portability with a club-style layout. The layout mimics your average club CDJ and mixer system, with full-sized mechanical jog wheels and a four-channel mixer section, fully equipped with Pioneer DJ’s Colour-FX and Beat FX.
The original Pioneer DJ DDJ-1000 was hugely popular because it was the closest approximation to a CDJ and mixer style club setup in a portable DJ controller format.
Each of the full-sized jog wheels has a built-in display, which shows important information from your Serato decks, such as playback time and position.
Each of the decks has eight performance pads with eight modes to choose from, the mixer has four analog inputs and is capable of functioning as a fully standalone mixer, allowing you to connect extra decks or turntables alongside the controller.
The new DDJ-1000SRT has dual USB ports and dual headphone outputs, making for seamless transitions between DJs or a great system for duo acts.
What’s the difference between the DDJ-1000SRT and DDJ-1000
The big difference between the Pioneer DJ DDJ-1000SRT and its predecessor is of course Serato DJ Pro compatibility. And the first 5000 units to ship worldwide with include a full Serato DJ Suite license for free – including Serato DJ Pro, DVS, Video, FX, Flip and Pitch ‘n Time.
The DDJ-1000SRT is DVS ready, so you can hook up turntables with timecode vinyl and you’re good-to-go.
That being said, the big calling card of the Pioneer DJ DDJ-1000SRT is the high-quality mechanical jog wheels – very similar to the ones you will find on Pioneer’s flagship CDJ systems.
The DDJ-1000SRT is retailing for USD $1299 (Around R20k excl. duties) not bad for probably the most comprehensive club-style Serato DJ Pro controller yet.
