Pink Revolution Conference 2015 – Empowering Women in Entertainment
Pink Revolution Conference 2015 will take place on the 6th of March 2015 and forms part of the Fuse Academy’s sixth anniversary. Fuse Academy was founded by DJ Zinhle and Nomndeni Mdakhi.
The Pink Revolution Conference 2015 will be the first ever female delegate only music conference. The conference is an annual event that focuses on female empowerment within the music industry. It’s also designed as a networking platform for females interested in a career in the entertainment fields.
Like minded women get together in an engaging platform where they can exchange ideas with other females and males who are industry leaders. It also gives newcomers some insight into what the industry is like.
Like many other industries, the entertainment industry remains for the most part a “boys’ club”. By being female centric the Pink Conference is able to focus on a group within the entertainment field that often gets overlooked.
The success of any field and/or industry is reliant on the camaraderie between those involved in it. Women continue to remain marginalised in fields dominated by men, so it makes sense for women to get together and help one another grow and prosper where they would have otherwise have gone unseen and unheard.
The conference also encourages an entrepreneurial approach to thriving within the entertainment industry, eliminating the stigma that it is a business where women don’t have what it takes to make it.
They will also be focusing on both the pros and cons of the entertainment world and offer advise on how to work in the industry while maintaining your intrinsic dignity as an individual.
Empowering women in developing countries is essential to reduce global poverty since women represent most of the world’s poor population.
DJ Zinhle partnered with Nomndeni Mdakhi to launch The Firm Understanding of Sound Entertainment Academy (FUSE) back in February 2009.
It’s the first DJing academy in South Africa that specifically targets female DJs, with the purpose to empower those interested in a career within the entertainment industry.
