New Pioneer DJ HDJ-X headphones are virtually unbreakable
The new Pioneer DJ HDJ-X range is virtually unbreakable the company claims on announcement of their new range of touring DJ headphones.
The new HDJ-X range has omething fro everyone starting on the lower budget end (as budget as Pioneer DJ can be) and moving on up.
All models in the range are over-ear headphones and sport a 90-degree swivel mechanism.
Their claim to the Pioneer DJ HDJ-X range being virtually unbreakable comes from the new “superior durability” material used; all 3 models underwent US military shock compliance tests to ensure that they will withstand the rigours of DJ life and DJ booths.
There are 3 models to be precise; the HDJ-X5 is their entry level pair and this will cost $99 (R 1299 excl import duties), the midrange set – HDJ-X7 are set at $199 (R 2599 excl import duties) and the top of the range HDJ-X10 with a premium price of $339 (R 4499 excl. import duties).
The flagship HDJ-X10 is the only pair to feature what Pioneer DJ say is a world-first; water repellent, nano-coated ear pads and headband plus a detachable mini-XLR connector for the cord. The drivers on the HDJ-X10 also feature high-end drivers that offer a frequency range of 5hz to 40hz, which is unmatched by any other DJ headphone manufacturer at this stage.
