New Nektar SE MIDI controllers combine function and form-factor

The incredibly compact new Nektar SE MIDI controllers have most of the features you would expect from a professional controller.

Nektar SE25

The Nektar SE range comes in two variants, the SE25 and SE49 – both are USB-powered, class-compliant and work with virtually any MIDI compatible software applications on Windows, Mac and iOS. The Nektar SE controllers come with software which you run on your device that allows you immediate access to the transport controls in your DAW, the system works with most major DAWs on the market.

The Nektar SE49 features 49 velocity-sensitive keys with four adjustable velocity curves. There’s an octave up/down and transpose up/down, a single assignable fader, mod wheel and pitch-bend controller. There are various other buttons for switching MIDI channels and other transport controls for your DAW.

In order for the Nekter SE 25 to be much more compact, they opted for 25 mini-keys and did away with the mod wheel, pitch-bend and fader. You’ve still got full control over your DAWs transport, making this a great travel companion for editing or laying down ideas as they spark.

Both options are USB-powered and class-compliant, meaning no need for extra drivers (except for the more advanced DAW transport features) are needed to get going straight out the box.
