MixVibes Remixvideo – A simplified video platform for DJs and VJs
MixVibes Remixvideo is a new easy-to-use video and audio mixing platform for DJs, VJs and Live performers alike.
MixVibes Remixvideo comes in two versions, a regular and pro version, with many of the same features except the pro version adds some higher-end coding functionality and a VST/AU plugin to load into your DAW.
MixVibes Remixvideo allows you to incorporate video clips and live visual effects into your music workflow or live performance. The software allows for playback control of video and audio clips, similar to something like Ableton live. MixVibes Remixvideo works with several channels, you can load several clips onto each channel and trigger them in real-time. No two clips on a single channel can play at the same time – making it a great platform for sequencing live visuals on-the-fly.
Both audio and video clips can be synced to a master BPM, which is great for keeping visuals in time with the music. MixVibes Remixvideo is compatible with Ableton Link and even has an auto-pilot mode, so you can set-it-and-forget-it while you concentrate on the music.
Can MixVibes Remixvideo mix audio and video simultaneously within the software?
MixVibes Remixvideo has various audio and video effects to choose from, from different layer blend modes, colour-keying to hue and saturation controls. The software features a basic mixer window, allowing you to mix audio signals, with a 3-band EQ, mute/solo buttons and a filter per channel. You have the ability to reorder channels live, and you have an XY pad control to slowly fade between layers, blend modes and effects.
Similar to Ableton Live, MixVibes Remixvideo allows you to set quantization on the clips, allowing you to launch them perfectly in sync with the music every time. You can choose whether clips will loop or play as one-shots, and even link the launching of clips to MIDI commands to play in real-time.
Remixvideo allows you to output to an external monitor, with advanced features like keystone settings for those who are using a projector. This is an awesome tool for people wanting to get into live visuals and VJing, however it’s also great for DJs and live performers looking to add visuals to their performance, whether they want to tweak them on-the-fly or have a preset sequence playback.
