Mixvibes Cross DJ 4 now competing with the top DJ platforms…
Mixvibes Cross DJ 4 ups the game, adding several features to compete with the more popular professional DJ software platforms.
One of the biggest new features in the new Cross DJ 4 is a fully customizable and skinnable user interface – allowing you to stack your track waveforms horizontally or vertically, whatever suits you. The platform is also designed around touchscreen compatibility, so the ability to customize the interface really does impact your workflow.
Mixvibes Cross DJ 4 now supports up to four simultaneous track decks, each of them can host three audio effects synchronized to that specific track and there are 14 audio effects to choose from.
If you’re coming from another DJ software platform, Cross DJ 4 integrates with track libraries in various formats, import your iTunes library directly into Cross or import hot cues, loops and playlists from rekordbox, Traktor, and Virtual DJ.
Mixvibes Cross DJ 4 now also supports the Ableton Link protocol and allows you to create custom MIDI mappings for relatively any MIDI controller that’s available. In my opinion, that makes it better than some of the other platforms that may be considered “more professional”.
Does the new Mixvibes Cross DJ 4 support DVS and video mixing?
Cross DJ 4 also sees a redesigned browser and track selection system, now you’re able to search through your library using the cover art browser or a more traditional browser, with various new features like direct Soundcloud streaming integration.
Mixvibes Cross DJ 4 supports both DVS DJing and video mixing, you can purchase the timecode vinyl or CDs and use almost any dual-stereo soundcard to get it up and running. Cross has a built-in video sampler, which can connect directly to a webcam or other video input.
Cross DJ 4 is running a pre-order promotion for USD $35 (Around R510 excl. duties), they haven’t mentioned an official launch date – however the pre-order promo does give you access to the Beta version in the meantime.
