Midas Heritage-D is a futuristic AI-based mixing console…
The new Midas Heritage-D is a 24-channel mixer that comes equipped with an artificial intelligence system to assist in mixing.
Digital mixing console can often be a pain to set up for the first time, making sure the routing and configuration is correct, naming all the channels accordingly and finally getting all the gains to a reasonable level before even starting the mix.
The new Midas Heritage-D aims to change the game, not only can you use the AI to assist in setup and calibration, it can give you pointers or even assist in the actual mixdown process. Offering AI assisted EQ and dynamics processing and more.
The Artificial Intelligence system in the new Midas Heritage-D allows you to profile the incoming audio and automatically assign track names and various other workflow-saving features. You can tag channels, allowing you to switch routing very easily.
The console works alongside a cloud-based database allowing you to save your configuration files and recall them anywhere in the world. This is great for hiring companies who may have multiple console, and individual engineers who like their own setups.
Five years in the making…
Here’s what Uli Behringer had to say about the Midas Heritage-D console,
“We’re very proud for our sister brand Midas to launch the world’s first AI and Cloud based mixing console platform.
“After 5 years of putting their heart and soul into this development, our 100 brilliant Midas engineers have now delivered a revolutionary technology that will fundamentally change the way music is mixed.”
Whether you will use the AI system to assist in mixing or just decrease setup and configuration time, there is no doubt that this technology is pretty mind-blowing.
The console has dual HDMI outputs to connect to screens for a more in-depth display for fine-tuning your settings. We’re not sure of a retail price yet, but I’m sure there will be more information out soon, so stay tuned.
